Privacy Policy

Chipload does not collect any data. Not anonymised data, not aggregated data, not crash reports, not analytics.

This is not a policy that could quietly change in a background update — it is a property of how the app is built. Chipload contains no networking code at all. It requests no network permission on Android and makes no network requests on iOS. There is no server for your information to go to, because there is no server.

You can verify this yourself in about five seconds. Put your device in Airplane Mode and use the app. Every feature works identically, because nothing was ever going anywhere.

What this means concretely

No account
There is nothing to sign up for and no way to sign in.
No analytics or tracking
No Google Analytics, no Firebase, no Crashlytics, no advertising identifier, no attribution SDK, no third-party library of any kind that reports anything anywhere.
Nothing leaves your device
The materials you select, the tools you enter, your machine's spindle limits and any setups you save are stored only in your device's own private app storage. They are not backed up to us, because there is no us to back them up to. Deleting the app deletes them.
No permissions
Chipload asks for no camera, no location, no contacts, no microphone, no files and no network access. You can confirm this in your device's app settings.

Purchases

If you buy an unlock, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We receive the payment through them and never see your payment details, your name or your address. Their respective privacy policies govern that transaction.

Children

Chipload collects no data from anyone, including children under 13. It contains no advertising, no social features and no links to user-generated content.

Your rights

Regulations such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to access, correct, export or delete. If you would like written confirmation of that for your own records, email us and we will provide it.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Chipload ever collects anything, this page will be updated before that version ships and the change will be described in the app's release notes. Given how the app is built, we do not expect this to happen.
